Thanks for creating this website...I had no clue that so many girls
had this condition...
Now I dont feel as bad as I once did....Now
I feel bad because mine are not even in size...Left side hangs and the
right side is basically normal....
Im thinking of pulling on the
right side more and maybe it will even them out...I never realised so
many girls were like this...wow...amazing...
Thanks alot...
Dear Robin,
It may be true that, from a purely esthetical point of view, labia that are even in size are "preferable". But that is not a reason to feel bad about yours! Although we enjoy the appearance of symmetry in nature, we also tend to feel that perfect symmetry takes away character.
I won't laugh away your concern about it and I understand that you might want more evenness, just don't lose any sleep over it. It's rare that a woman's labia are perfectly even in size. But if you plan to get them to the same length, then I agree that enlarging the smaller lip is preferred over cutting the longer one.
Daily pulling and stretching should add some length if you keep doing it. I've heard that vacuum pumping the labia also works to get them bigger, but I'm not sure if it can be done with just one labium. It's done by putting sort of a hollow cylinder over your pussy, and how do you fit it over one lip only?
Some women (see Phillis Jean's letter) experience growth of the inner labia during their pregnancy. I strongly believe that it is the increased levels of estrogens that cause this. Now, that makes me wonder, could applying estrogen cream to only one lip make it grow? If it works, a woman could use the cream until her labia are even. Or what about testosterone cream? That's also supposed to change things down there.
Do not start experimenting with any of these though! Some estrogens like estradiol are very potent and can cause serious side effects. Estriol is a safer hormone but I don't know if applying it as a cream can affect labial growth. I hope pharmaceutical researchers will look into this one day because it could become a life saver for women like you.
