This page is really wonderful!!!
I am from Germany and since years
not happy about my big inner labia - I thought thatīs not normally,
because in all magazines you only see "picture-book-vulvas": normal
outter labias and small not-visible inner labias.
In Germany you
canīt find some information about that subject, so I wanted to get
some information in the US - really I wanted to get some informations
about a surgery.
But now I found this wonderful page which shows
that itīs normal to see the inner labias and that itīs even nicer and
more interesting than "normal" pussys!
In my opinion the media
-especially in Germany- have to inform the people about that and have
to show all kinds of pussys to stop the beauty illusion/insanity!!!
Thanks a lot for this wonderful page!!!!!!!!!
Dear Bine,
It's surprising to me that Germany treats large inner labia so conservatively. According to the International Encyclopedia of Sexuality there is no censoring of magazines, books and films (unlike the censorship in Australia for instance). You say all magazines display only "small labia" vulvas. Could it be that you just have been unlucky in your choice of them? On my next trip to Europe I will try to visit Germany and see what's really out there. It will be interesting to see how different countries treat this topic.
I'm glad you changed your mind about the surgery. Labia surgery is an option that should be reserved for extreme cases only. And I don't mean extreme in size, but in discomfort. Big lips don't always equal big pain. Some women have giant inner labia that don't cause them any physical discomfort at all. Other women can have smaller labia that are continuously irritated or hurting.
If nothing alleviates the pain then surgery might be the last resort. But I suspect that the majority of women interested in labia reduction are more bothered by the visual aspect than by physical discomfort. All we need to do is to convince them that their pussies are in fact sexy and beautiful!
