I agree, that does sound odd.
were there any significant
changes in your lives about the time she stopped allowing you to do
it? the only thing I can think of that may explain it is if
there were some significant physical, emotional, or spiritual change
with her.
Unless maybe there was an issue with your
technique that she didn't want to deal with anymore, so instead of
talking to you about it she just cut you off. I doubt it but there's
always the possibility.

I hate to say it this way, but. . .the only person
who's gonna be able to answer your questions is HER -- no one else!
Talk to her. Be candid. Tell her what you like.
Ask her what she thinks, and if you determine she is getting it
elsewhere (which I doubt), ask her what's different. . .if you're
really brave, ask her if she'd consider having you and the other
dude/chick (it could be a chick too ya know!) at the same time.
