Am I overly sensitive or what?

I feel like I'm among friends here, so I'd like to ask if anyone else out there with protruding inner lips suffers as much as I do from day to day friction?

Not wearing panties is out of the question.  I don't shave, because I feel that my bushiness provides some protection, and the stubbly regrowth after shaving really worsens things.  Would applying lube every day help?  I worry that the chemicals might be irritating after a while.  I've been checked many times over the years by my doctors, who say my genitals are healthy and normal, and that I shouldn't consider anything like surgery to feel comfortable.  I'd hate to resort to that, but the constant pain is ruining my sex life.  Do I sound frustrated or what?

I don't know what to do to protect my tenderest parts.  Any suggestions?

Me again.  I just re-read that and want to correct one thing.  I've checked with doctors only a couple of times.  That's it, just twice.  I think I was exaggerating because I was so upset.

They were so casual about it and assured me I wouldn't need surgery or a specialist or anything.  So I felt like a crybaby and still do.  I just wish I felt better more often.  I mean, it doesn't always bother me.  I can still feel sexy and enjoy myself with or without a partner, so things aren't that unbearable.  And I'm assured by partners that i look, feel, smell, taste (and even sound sometimes) really great; I mean,  my best partners have been the ones a bit obsessive about my very suckable and receptive pussy.  Naturally, I like a partner with a subtle and attentive approach.  I can build up to tolerating very strong sensations when I'm in the hands of a truly skillful lover (I've been fortunate, I think).

I just bought a fancy new razor after work tonight, so I'll give myself a trim and lube myself up to see if I feel better by keeping it up to avoid the stubble.  Something tells me I'm going to feel great.

Has anyone used this handle ("Lotsalabia") before?  I apologize If I'm poaching.

Other possible solutions to chafing: going out without panties?  Crotchless panties?  Loose fitting bloomers?  Has anyone out there had to try these strategies.  Oh god, is it just me?

I decided to shave my pussy.

After work I bought a Schick Quattro (with travel case) and some nice unscented natural hair conditioner that I like.  Looks and feels like jizz.  Great stuff.

Took care of a few things when I got home from work, had dinner, checked e-mail and then got down to it.

Problem is, I got so turned on while I was feeling all warm and squishy (first in the shower, then at the sink for the more precise work) that there was NO taming my clit and hood enough for me to feel comfortable shaving with a razor.  It would have been dangerous!  Going even this far was actually more than I'd planned in the beginning, but I just kept at it because it felt so good.  It took forever (I should have started with scissors) but I'm going to try keeping it up. Did I go all the way?  No, I couldn't, so for now there's a little halo around the spot where my clit always protrudes.

I'm still wickedly turned on.  Throbbing.

Getting rid of a some of the fuzzies on the underside of my vulva has made a big difference, too.  My pussy feels great right now.  This website had excellent advice on getting the job done.  I sure hope this works as a long-term solution for me.

I'm a busy woman but will have to work this new little activity into my schedule until then.  I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for a super-precise little trimmer and comparison shop...  getting laser treatment is my ultimate goal, however.   ;-)

Hi there.  I have large labia as well and used to have chaffing and/or discomfort.  My doctor recommended not using bubble bath soap/beads when taking a bath, and using baby soap to wash my genitals.  My discomfort was because of an allergic type reaction to the soaps I was using.  Also, I used Dreft Baby Laundry Soap to wash my clothes and that helped too.  It eventually went away, but maybe you are having a reaction caused by chemical sensitivity from your body soap, bubble bath or laundry soap.

Thanks, Debbie

Things have been gradually improving since I switched to a nice gentle goats milk soap (with vitamin E and aloe gel) from a local health food store.  I will also change my detergent to a much gentler formula next time I do my wash.  I'd been using a so-called 'natural' product but I'm switching to something more plain, also from the health food store.
