One year ago I had made my mind up: I was going to get a labiaplasty
someday when I had the money.
And then I started getting
into feminism. I discovered a link to this site on a feminist
blog that was talking about the labiaplasty surgery and how
ridiculous it is. It didn't happen over night, but I kept
reading the feminist blog and all of the comments saying how crazy it
would be for a woman to butcher her beautiful body to look like the
airbrushed Playboy models, and I kept looking at photos on this
website... and then it happened. I just realized how STUPID I
had been for hating my body (ever since I was 16 -- I hated my long
labia and dreamed of getting a surgery someday). I scrapped my
plans to get a labiaplasty and even grew ANGRY at plastic surgeons
for offering such a surgery instead of teaching women that there is
nothing wrong with their bodies.
Everyday I love my labia a
little more. I just come to this site and look at the photos
and it helps. The more long labias I see, the more I like them.
It is amazing that I spent nearly 10 years hating my body and
fantasizing about getting a surgery and then BAM! thanks to this site
and the feminist blog, I am cured. I will never have to worry
about having some sleazy "doctor" cut off a sensitive part of my
body.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I hope more
women see this website and learn to love their labias. Now
instead of spending $5-10 thousand on a surgery, I can go on a
vacation! Not only that, I now have confidence. Had I
gotten the surgery, I would have short labia -- but my confidence
still would've been low.
